Mission and Vision

• To support the university’s vision of English-medium instruction and bilingual education development, the ISU Bilingual Education and EMI Center was established in April 2021.
• The Center aligns with Taiwan’s national bilingual policy and serves as the leading unit for promoting bilingual education initiatives across the university.
• The Center coordinates and supports the implementation of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) programs and bilingual learning environments.
• The Center integrates English learning resources and provides comprehensive language support for students, faculty members, and administrative staff.
• Professional development workshops, teacher training programs, and language enhancement activities are organized to strengthen English proficiency and teaching effectiveness.
• The Center facilitates collaboration among academic and administrative units to ensure effective implementation of bilingual campus initiatives.
• Through bilingual education and EMI development, the Center aims to enhance international engagement, intercultural communication, and global competitiveness.
