Don’t Miss Out: ESP (English for Specific Purposes) Seminars This Semester
Dear students:
To enhance your
skills and confidence of using ESP (English for Specific Purpose), the
Bilingual Education and EMI Center organizes 8 ESP seminars (for 4 different
topics) in November and December. 4 seminars will be at the Main Campus and the
other 4 at the Medical Campus.
Topics:
1. Spotlight
Kaohsiung: Mastering English for Local Tourism & Destination Storytelling
2. From Narrative Medicine to
Professional Storytelling
3. Human Abilities in the Age of AI -
What We Lost and What We Gained
4. Hospitality English
***60 places are
available for each seminar. Seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served
basis.
***Students who have successfully registered
and fully participated in a seminar will receive 0.1 credits of general
education (required to complete a reflection report on ePortfolio)/one learning
hour for general education from the International College.
***Snacks will be
served at all seminars.
***For seminars covering the same topic,
please choose ONLY one to attend. No repeat awarding of credits or learning
hours is allowed.
***Students who
answer quizzes during a seminar will get a small gift.
